Product Description

The grounding tester (EDT) is an easy-to-use, battery-powered testing device for checking the grounding of workpieces in powder coating.

Inadequate grounding often leads to problems in electrostatic coating, such as insufficient coating thickness or uncoated areas. The grounding tester allows you to quickly and reliably verify whether the component is properly grounded.

To take a measurement, attach the alligator clip to a known grounding point. The device is then aimed at the component, and the measuring tip is held against a bare metal surface. At the push of a button, the result is displayed via a five-level LED system that directly indicates the grounding status.

The grounding tester thus enables quick checks during the ongoing process and helps ensure consistent coating quality.

Measurement range:

0 – 0.01 Ω: One green LED
0.01 – 0.1 Ω: Two green LEDs
0.1 – 1.0 Ω: One yellow LED
1.0 – 20 Ω: One red LED
20 Ω: Two red LEDs
