What does CE certification include?
Our CE-certified products (painting hooks from a wire diameter of 6 mm) are supplied with comprehensive operating instructions that include all relevant safety and usage information. This includes:
- Load type and precise load specifications subject to annual inspection
- Approved surface treatments such as chemical or thermal paint stripping
- Intended use to ensure safe handling
- Important safety instructions to prevent accidents and misuse

Special features for painting hooks under 6 mm wire diameter
Instead of a declaration of conformity (CE), a manufacturer's declaration according to the Machinery Directive is issued. This confirms that the hooks meet all requirements of the Machinery Directive as well as the relevant standards for load handling equipment – with the exception of the marking to be applied directly on the load handling equipment (LHE).
Since direct marking on such thin wire is technically not feasible, the necessary identification features (e.g. type, material, nominal load, manufacturing date) are indicated in the operating instructions and, if applicable, on an additional label on the box. The operator is responsible for handling the hooks in such a way that this information is always clearly traceable.
In terms of production technology, the hooks are manufactured under the same quality-assuring measures as CE-certified hooks. The only difference lies in the formal marking. Technically, however, the products fully comply with the requirements for a CE-certified product.
This means you receive a product that meets the same safety standards as a CE-certified hook. The manufacturer's declaration is just as binding as a declaration of conformity and guarantees the same technical safety.
