What works for small batch sizes can quickly become a bottleneck when dealing with larger quantities. This was precisely the challenge our customer GEDORE faced when powder coating handle tubes for torque wrenches—together, we developed a customized solution.
From a Temporary Fix to a Custom Solution
The temporary solution using painting hooks and masking tape worked well at first. However, as production volumes increased, it became clear that the hanging and masking processes were taking too much time. Together with GEDORE, we therefore reviewed the entire process and considered how the hanging and masking steps could be integrated from the very beginning.
One rack, one masking solution, one process
The result is a custom solution that combines a specially developed painting rack with a precisely tailored custom masking solution. Our field service and engineering teams worked together with GEDORE to develop the solution step by step — from the initial idea to the finished rack. The result: a significantly more efficient coating process at GEDORE.
